Earlier this week you heard Save The River speak out on the St. Lawrence Seaway’s 50th Anniversary. The Seaway is painting itself lean and green but our experience here in the Thousand Islands tells a different story – a story of undelivered promises and environmental disasters.

  1. Nice job…isn’t the Seaway planning a series of celebratory events throughout the year…do we know if they are planning an event in the 1000 Islands region and when? I think you should post the backup materials you have which describe how the Seaway hasn’t met expectations and what our vision should be for the next 50 years.

  2. Excellent idea, Dan. I believe that the staff is doing just this as we speak. Save The River is certainly the voice for the environment and for the citizens along The River.
